Elizabeth Woolf, PE, SE, LEED AP BD+C, is the Principal of Katahdin Engineering, LLC. She received her Master's degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Florida in 2007, and began her career as a structural engineer in Norfolk, Virginia, working on many varied projects, primarily in the federal, heavy commercial and aviation sectors. In 2014, she left her position with Burns & McDonnell to pursue her lifelong dream of hiking the Appalachian Trail. Upon successfully completing the trail, she relocated to New London, Connecticut and had the opportunity to work with the structural firm of E2 Engineers, gaining experience with residential, academic and light commercial projects. Elizabeth currently holds Professional Engineer licenses in Indiana, Kansas, Virginia, North Carolina, and Tennessee, and is a licensed Structural Engineer in Illinois.
Katahdin Engineering, LLC was formed in 2015, and relocated to Columbus, Indiana in May, 2016. As a woman-owned small business, Katahdin Engineering strives to provide comprehensive structural solutions for every project. Utilizing building information modeling, we are able to minimize structural conflicts with other trades, support complex architectural geometries, and review construction sequencing, minimizing conflicts and delays in the field.
